Happy 2nd Birthday Dylan!!

Today is Dylan's 2nd birthday! Today I put him in his tractor sweatshirt that his friend Kendall gave him, he loves it! I also took cupcakes to his daycare for everybody to eat and gave them all goody bags from Dylan's party! Then, tonight we took him to one of his favorite places...Habaneros! MiMi, Aunt Quinn and Brad came too! He ate all the cheese dip and chips that he could handle! We also got them to sing to him and he loved it! When we got home, we got a twinkie and put some candles in it and sang to him! He loved it and couldn't wait to blow out the candles! Dylan finished off the night by playing with one of his favorite toys that his friend Mason got him! It is so hard to believe that 2 years have already gone by! He has brought so much joy into our lives, it's hard remember what life was like without him! He makes us laugh everyday and he is getting so independent! The best part is when he gives us hugs and kisses and tell us he loves us! It just melts my heart! Being a mother is the best thing in this world! Being a mother constantly brings challenges, but it is so worth it! Dylan is saying so many different things and will eat all by himself! We are working on potty training, but it is a slow process. I still haven't gotten rid of the paci yet, but he only takes it at night. Hopefully, I can break him of that soon! I love my little man so much! Happy birthday sweet baby!

Our precious Dylan

These are some pics that I took this weekend of my baby boy! He is wearing his new pj's from Jenny & Sophie! I love them! He looks so cute and they are so soft! Daddy put together his new tricycle from MiMi and he loves it! He calls it his motorcycle! You should hear him say it, don't worry I will get video of that on here soon! It is so hard to believe that he is going to be 2 years old on Tuesday! I can't believe how much he has grown! It makes me sad when I look back at how much he has changed, but everyday is so much fun! He is learning so much and saying different things everyday! He is such a joy to be around! We love him so much!

Dylan's 2nd birthday party!

Happy 2nd Birthday Dylan!

Yesterday we had Dylan's birthday party at Crossroads Baptist Church! I wasn't sure if we were going to have a party considering I had a really bad stomach bug the day before. I woke up Saturday morning feeling much better, thank goodness! We did the Elmo theme and I had fun decorating in all the bright colors! We got pizza and I got the same girl (Heather Williams) to make his Elmo cake that made Quinn's baby shower cake! She always does such a great job! Dylan had a lot of his friends come to see him and he had a blast! There was plenty of room for all the kids to run around, unlike last year when I decided it would be best to cram 30+ people in my house! Dylan got so many nice things and really enjoyed opening all his presents! I think his favorite part was when everybody sang Happy Birthday to him! He loved it! He keeps saying "Apy Irfday", it is so cute! Dylan has enjoyed playing with all of his toys! I even put on his new pj's Jenny & Sophie got him! They are so cute! (I will post pics soon) A special thank you to everyone who came, we are truly blessed to have so many wonderful people surrounding our precious son! Happy Birthday Dylan, we love you so much!!

Still no Maddie!

Quinn went to the doctor today and they told her no change and that she has still only dilated 1 centimeter. They did tell her that Madelyn is where she needs to be and will come when she is ready! They told her that Maddie is in a ball and most people are having contractions at this point. Quinn has been having some cramps but nothing she can't handle and they go away. They told her the estimated weight right now is around 7 lbs. They were really off with me, they said Dylan would weigh around 6 lbs and he was 7lbs 10oz! So, I'm curious to see how much she weighs! Her doctor did tell her that she will induce the week of her due date if she isn't here yet! Dylan's birthday is next Tuesday, so maybe she wants to wait til then! I think she will be here before then, but either way, Maddie will be here within 2 weeks!! We are all so excited and can't wait to meet our sweet little angel!!

Dylan's 2 year pics

Today we went to Morris Avenue to take Dylan's 2 year pics! I really couldn't afford to have somebody take them for me, so Jeremy & I decided to take some pics ourselves! We just let Dylan run around! Although I have been taking pictures of him since he came into this world, he's not much of a poser yet! I think we got some cute ones! It was cool outside, but I knew I had to hurry up and get some made b/c my baby boy will be "2" February 3rd! It's so hard to believe that another year has passed! It seems like yesterday when I was holding him in my arms for the first time! He is such a joy to us! We love our baby boy so much!

Update on Quinn

Well...no Maddie yet!! Quinn went to the doctor today and they told her she had dilated a full centimeter and that Maddie had dropped! Quinn is pretty miserable right now, she pulled two muscles in her stomach from rolling over while she was sleeping. She also had a bladder infection, but they gave her some medicine, so that is helping a little. She has been in a lot of pain and we are all hoping Madelyn will be here soon! One good thing is that Quinn's last day of work was last Friday. She just couldn't stand on her feet anymore. Plus, Quinn is going to be fortunate enough to be able to stay at home with Maddie (I'm so jealous)! I keep calling Quinn every few hours just to make sure she is ok. I am hoping she will call me soon and tell me that she is going to the hospital! Please keep all them in your prayers and I will keep everyone posted!

Dylan's birthday present

We bought Dylan's birthday present tonight! I am so excited! Academy Sports in Lakeshore is going out of business and our friends Robby and Niki were there and they knew we have been looking for a playset for Dylan. We have been wanting to get one for awhile, but they are just so expensive! They had one left and it was 70% off! We couldn't believe it! So, of course Jeremy rode out there and picked it up!! I can't wait for Dylan to play on it this summer! He will love it!

I love my gifts!

So, tonight I met some friends for dinner for what I thought was just a going away dinner for my friend Alicia. What I didn't know is that is was a surprise party for me! When I came in Alicia showed me my pretty pink cookie cake and said Happy Birthday, this is for you! I couldn't believe it! They totally got me, I had NO idea! A lot of my friends came and we ate and drank and had a great time! Alicia turned the big "21" yesterday, so it was fun celebrating our birthdays together! We both got some unexpected gifts! I gave Alicia some canary yellow earrings last week b/c I just couldn't wait...they are so pretty! My friend Amy got me the cutest purse from Prissy Jane, I can't wait to carry it tomorrow! Then, my other friend Amy gave me the nicest wrought iron holder to decorate with, I love it! My friend Sally got me the cutest bathroom bowl filled with vanilla body wash, lotion, spray, a sponge and a candle! I already have it in my bathroom...it matches perfect! Last but certainly not least...they got me teared up on this one, they got me a gift certificate to a spa for a massage and a facial! I couldn't believe that they did that, I was so surprised! I love it and can't wait to use it! It was a night to remember forever! I am going to miss seeing Alicia everyday, but I wish her all the best! God has blessed me with the best friends in the whole world and I can't thank them enough! Love you guys!

The sweetest card ever

Precious

Although I turned 30 on January 15th, it was a great day! I am not one of those that gets depressed b/c I am now out of my twenties! I am just glad to be here and I am so lucky to have such wonderful people in my life! When I got up on my birthday my sweet baby boy brought me a card from him and my hubby! He looked at me and handed the cards to me and said, "Appy irfday Mommy"! It was the sweetest thing! I just had to put his card on here, it is precious and I will never forget it! My Mama and Quinner came over Saturday and cooked my favorite meal and my Mama made me my favorite dessert! I wasn't expecting anything and Quinn gave me the sweetest card, it made me cry...I love her so much! I also got some money from Quinn and a gift card from Mama. They made me promise to buy something for myself! (It's so hard for me to do) I am so blessed to have such wonderful people in my life!

Madelyn's room

This weekend we went to Quinn's to get some pictures of Maddie's room. I think it turned out so cute! Even though they hope to be moving soon, Quinn still wanted her room to be special. Quinn painted the room in a mint green all by herself over a month ago and just waited for Brad to put all the furniture together. Now that her room is ready, Quinn can relax (for a minute anyways)! I FINALLY got to put up her monogram decal that I bought awhile back. I think it is precious!! Quinn absolutely loves it!! Right now, there is nothing over her changing table, but I am making something to hang there. I can't give it to Quinn until after Maddie is born, I can't wait!! MiMi had to buy her 1st piggy bank, it is so cute! My Granny made a pink and blue sweater before me and Quinn were even thought of. Dylan got to wear the blue one home and Maddie will get to wear the pink one! It means so much to us and I know our Granny would be excited that they got to wear them! We are all so anxious to meet little Miss Maddie, hopefully she will be here soon!
