Recipes

Ok, so I decided to give you guys some recipes! I love to cook and I love when I check out someones blog and there are recipes on it! Last night I made sweet chicken bacon wraps, green beans & corn muffins...it was so good! I was definitely on my husband's good side:) My Mama made my sister & I cookbooks with all the family recipes in it a few years ago for Christmas (my favorite gift ever)! The corn muffins are from my Nana:) The chicken wraps are Paula Deen's recipe!

Corn Muffins

Ingredients:
1 stick oleo-melted (I always use 1/2 stick and it is just as good)
1 c self rising flour
8 oz sour cream
8 oz cream corn
1 egg

Directions:

Mix all ingredients; Grease muffin pan (makes 12)
Bake @ 350 degrees for 20-25 minutes

Sweet Chicken Bacon Wraps

Ingredients:

1 1/4 lbs. boneless, skinless, chicken breasts (about 4 breasts)
1 (1-lb) package sliced bacon
2/3 c firmly packed brown sugar
2 tbl chili powder

Directions:

Preheat over to 350 degrees

Cut chicken breasts into 1-inch thick cubes. Cut each bacon slice into thirds. Wrap each chicken cube with bacon and secure with a wooden pick. Stir together brown sugar and chili powder. Dredge wrapped chicken in mixture. Coat a rack and broiler pan with nonstick cooking spray. Place chicken wraps on rack in broiler pan. Bake at 350 degrees for 30-35 minutes or until crisp.

**I cooked them at 350 degrees for about 35 minutes and then I broiled it for just a few minutes to get it crispy on top**

Enjoy!!

I LOVE me some Paula Deen! However, anytime I try something new, it never turns out right! It really stinks because I'd like to venture out and try new things, but it never works out. We went to the Paula Deen buffet at the casino earlier this year and there was some cheese burger meat loaf. So good! I came home and attempted it...not the same! LOL I so wish I could cook! I can bake, but not so much cook!

Thanks for sharing these recipes! I saw the chicken&bacon on Paula Deen's show & was going to go get the recipes & forgot about it, it looked so easy & delicious. I'm going to try it!

I have one I am going to try tomorrow & if it's good I will share too. It's an apple cake with cream cheese icing, yum! I love recipes, but I rarely try new things!

I have had the HONOR of meeting her and Michael. Mason called Michael "Grandaddy". They just ate him up. This was last year at Books a million at Brookwood. Mason was even on the news that night too! But I would LOVE to go to her place in Savannah.
