Family Christmas pics

I recently got together with my sister-in-law and we decided to enjoy the beautiful day and snap some family Christmas pics! All of us walked up the road from our house to some nearby land and had the best time! The kids loved it b/c they could play in the leaves and climb the rocks! I am excited about Christmas this year, it will be here before we know it!

Happy Birthday Daddy!

Blowing out the candles

Opening presents

Having fun with family

Yesterday was my hubby's 30th birthday! We got him an ice cream cake from DQ, it was so good! Dylan made him a frame with camou and his handprints in bright orange! I thought it was perfect considering Jeremy is a really big hunter! Dylan was so proud and could not wait to show his Daddy! Of course, Jeremy loved it! Dylan sang Happy Birthday to him and helped him blow out his candles! It was the sweetest thing! He loves his Daddy so much! We invited Joey, Jodie & the kids over for cake! Savanna made her Uncle Momo a sign that said, "I LOVE YOU", it was so sweet! They are two of a kind! Today was Jodie's birthday and we went over to visit for a little while! I didn't get any pictures, but she has had a really good birthday too! Dylan wanted to sign his name in her card and she just loved that! Dylan loves his Aunt JoJo! Happy Birthday Daddy, we love you so much!!

Antiques

These are some pics I took a couple of weeks ago while I was doing a photo shoot! There are all these old buildings that have been there since the 1800's. The keeper of these houses stopped by while I was shooting and asked us if we wanted to go inside! It was such a treat for me! I loved going through the house and taking pictures of all the antiques! He told us all the stories and it was very interesting to learn about it all! My favorites were the old cradle, the blocks they used to play with and the upstairs with the rope bed and old clothes! It was so neat, that was probably one of my favorite shoots!

Hopefully I will have all of my decorations up in the next couple of weeks!

Last night we had over some of Jeremy's friends for his b'day! He will be the big "30" tomorrow! We ate some great food and watched some football! My Mama cooked Jeremy's favorite meal just like she does every year! She also made another one of his favorites...homemade cheesecake with cherries...yummy! Jeremy's mother made his favorite cake too! Quinn made her famous spinach dip and I made some corn dip! It was fun getting everybody together! Dylan loved all the attention and Maddie was a little angel just like she always is! Everybody kept asking if she ever makes a sound...she is the best baby! Jeremy has some of the best friends...his friend Kevin stopped by on his way to the hunting club and stayed awhile! We all had a great time!

Recipe Time

So, my friend Rachael & I have come up with the idea to start sending recipes to all of our friends! It is perfect for the holidays coming up! Here is what you do:

Post a recipe to your blog and then add 3 names at the end of it. Go to their blog and leave them a comment letting them know to go to your page to check out a recipe. Then, they post their favorite recipe to their page and let 3 more people know what to do and so on. You can put your favorite recipe whether it be entrees, snacks, desserts, drinks, etc.

My favorite recipe is...

Fettuccine Alfredo
Ingredients:

½ stick butter
6 tbl. cream cheese
2 c. evaporated milk OR heavy cream
5 tsp. garlic powder
salt & pepper
Almost a whole bottle of grated parmesan cheese
½ pk of linguine noodles

Directions:

Melt butter in medium pot
Once melted add cream cheese until softened
Add cream
Add garlic powder, salt & pepper
Simmer on low heat for 20 minutes stirring constantly
Remove from heat and add parmesan cheese
Serve over linguine noodles

Enjoy!!

**The sauce will thicken once you add parmesan cheese if not thick enough you can add a little cornstarch & water. I don’t ever have to do this but my sister does it every time.**

**You can also add grilled chicken, it makes it even better**

Sweet baby boy

I took this precious little angel's picture when he was just 5 days old! I have other pics of him that are on my photography blog, I just wanted to share this one. He is just precious.

Recipes

Ok, so I decided to give you guys some recipes! I love to cook and I love when I check out someones blog and there are recipes on it! Last night I made sweet chicken bacon wraps, green beans & corn muffins...it was so good! I was definitely on my husband's good side:) My Mama made my sister & I cookbooks with all the family recipes in it a few years ago for Christmas (my favorite gift ever)! The corn muffins are from my Nana:) The chicken wraps are Paula Deen's recipe!

Corn Muffins

Ingredients:
1 stick oleo-melted (I always use 1/2 stick and it is just as good)
1 c self rising flour
8 oz sour cream
8 oz cream corn
1 egg

Directions:

Mix all ingredients; Grease muffin pan (makes 12)
Bake @ 350 degrees for 20-25 minutes

Sweet Chicken Bacon Wraps

Ingredients:

1 1/4 lbs. boneless, skinless, chicken breasts (about 4 breasts)
1 (1-lb) package sliced bacon
2/3 c firmly packed brown sugar
2 tbl chili powder

Directions:

Preheat over to 350 degrees

Cut chicken breasts into 1-inch thick cubes. Cut each bacon slice into thirds. Wrap each chicken cube with bacon and secure with a wooden pick. Stir together brown sugar and chili powder. Dredge wrapped chicken in mixture. Coat a rack and broiler pan with nonstick cooking spray. Place chicken wraps on rack in broiler pan. Bake at 350 degrees for 30-35 minutes or until crisp.

**I cooked them at 350 degrees for about 35 minutes and then I broiled it for just a few minutes to get it crispy on top**

Enjoy!!

Halloween '09

I finally got a chance to upload some pics from Halloween! We had the best time! We started off going to the fall festival at Crossroads with Nonnie & Poppie! MiMi, Quinn, Brad & Maddie met us there! They looked so cute in their little outfits! Due to the weather, the church had decided to move everything in the gym and although it was fun, it was crowded! So, needless to say I didn't get as many pictures as I wanted to! Dylan enjoyed the face painting, the ducks and even tried the inflatables! That didn't last long though! As soon as the bigger kids got in there he was out in a flash! I think Dylan's favorite part was the food...he loved the hotdogs & boiled peanuts!! My friends, Staci & Joe brought their two little munchkins! Dylan's cousin, Peyton came and Dylan's friend Mason came too...we all had such a great time! Once we got home Jason, Ashley & Jacob stopped by! I had to get some pics of their precious dog, Daisy! Her little outfit was so cute! After a long nap from all the excitement we went to Valley Creek for their 'Trunk or Treat', it was so much fun! Dylan really enjoyed it b/c he could run around and we got to see a lot of people that we know! Jodie & Joey had the cutest theme for their trunk and they placed 2nd! Jodie's mom put her chili in the contest and it won! All the food was great! Dylan got to see a lot of his cousins, it was nice to spend time with our family! Halloween 2009 was a lot of fun...we are already planning for next year!

I put him in his Christmas outfit and I love it! I also had him in a fall outfit, but I could not buy all of the pictures even though I wanted to! Our little man is getting so big, we love him so much!

Dylan & Maddie's Halloween costumes

These are some pics I took of Dylan & Maddie in their Halloween costumes a couple of weeks ago and just now got around to editing them! I think they look SO cute!! A lady that I work with made the skirt for Maddie...it is precious! Dylan looks so grown in his leather jacket with his hair slick back! It depends on how cool it is tomorrow if Maddie will wear the same outfit, Quinn already has her another one! I am excited about Halloween and can't wait to get more pics!! I hope everyone has a safe and Happy Halloween!!

More cute shirts!!

I finally got to meet my friend I have been emailing and blogging with for almost a year now!! I took pictures of her family this weekend! It was so nice to meet her! She is just as sweet as I thought she would be! Her family was precious too! We had the best time!! She brought me a surprise and I am SO excited and can't wait to let Dylan & Maddie wear them! Thank you SO much Melissa! I am still working on their pics, but I will post some of them to my photography blog sometime this week! Hope everyone has a great week!

Sweet pic!

I just love this pic! I took this pic this weekend while Dylan was playing hide and go seek with his cousins. It was his turn to count and he stood at the tree and started counting. It was so sweet b/c he would skip around on his counting, but never looked up to see where they were hiding! I thought it was the most precious pic! I am so glad I had my camera so I could capture this moment!
